Ben was in one of our local areas of Beckenham, Kent to install these wonderful bespoke shutters for one of our clients. The shutters have been designed and crafted in a special shape to cover the rooms unique stained glass windows, in a triangular/diamond design.
Although we install normal plantation shutters all day every day, we love when a customer has something different for us to work with, in this case some lovely stained glass windows which our shutters have worked perfectly for! In fact you would be hard pressed to find any other window dressing which would work anywhere as near with the sizing and shape!
We created these shutters using our top of the range Fiji hardwood, also known as Paulownia which is a high quality, extremely lightweight wood sourced from one of the world’s fastest growing trees! We used the ever popular 76mm louvres, perfect for lighting, privacy as well as looks.
Hidden tilt rods allow for the window to be seen in all its glory when the shutters are open, a rod would have got in the way and also cluttered the look of the shutters. The client can easily adjust the shutters by hand on the louvres.
We used plain stiles for a more modern look which matches the contemporary feel and finished them in matching pure white paint and hinges. The customer was blown away with the results!
