Our client in Morden, Surrey was looking for a modern shutter solution for their patio doors from the kitchen leading out into the garden area. They already had a lovely bi-folding door solution in place and wanted shutters that would work with and complement the existing setup. Tom was on hand to carry out this installation!
We first got to work designing a bespoke made to measure solution for the customer, which would not only offer the functionality they required, but look amazing from inside and outside. Our shutters really can transform areas like this, were family and friends may be enjoying not only the kitchen area, but also using the patio and the garden.
The shutters were designed in a full height bi folding style, with a mid-rail running directly through the middle for added strength and to allow flexibility when it comes to adjusting the 63mm louvres. This allows for example for the bottom section to be closed, with the top louvres adjusted or vice versa!
The pure white finish on these shutters matches the interior décor of the kitchen and also the framing of the patio door glass as you can see from the pictures. You will also notice that they neatly fold to the side in the same way as the doors, lining up perfectly. Using plain stiles for the installation and a hidden tilt rod system we have also created a modern finish which matches the rest of the clients interior.
