Ben was in Biggin Hill in Kent to install these wonderful café style shutters for a clients bathroom. As you can see from the images the windows of the bathroom have other windows looking directly towards them so maintaining some privacy while still allowing in light was crucial for the customer.
By using café style shutters lower level privacy was achieved while still letting in as much light as possible in from the tops. These shutters run half way up the window and function just as the client requested. They feature traditional centralised tilt rods, thick 89mm louvres, beaded styles which add character and then finished in a lovely pure white which sits great against the dark tiling.
These shutters have added a touch of tradition to a modern designed bathroom and really work well as a feature for the room, improving the overall aesthetics of a great bathroom as well as carrying out the job they were intended for!
Using our Java range the shutters are perfect for a room which often has moisture or where water comes into contact with the panels. The shutters have an ABS coating for this which ensures they are water resistant yet look much like our other hardwood ranges.
