We were recently in Islington, London to install shutters throughout a client’s new build flat. They were looking to install shutters not only to the windows, but also some interior doors which is where our bespoke designs really come into play! John and Kirk carried out this wonderful job for the homeowners.
All the shutters no matter where they were placed needed to be the same design, style and finish so that they all matched throughout. This included shutters in a bedroom and home office area.
We created these shutters in a full height style with centralised tilt rods, a modern yet still classic look which the customer was keen to have. They feature thick 76mm louvres and hidden splits for greater adjustments, with a visible split on the doors for added strength due to the height.
The shutters were created from our MDF range which is a more affordable option, but still look just as great as some of our hardwood ranges. With the customers input it was decided on painting them a lovely sea mist colour which works well with the neutral greys throughout the home.
Our client was also trying to achieve the best mixture of privacy and lighting in the property for their home working environment and also the bedrooms. The specification and style of these shutters has definitely achieved this for the client!
