Shaun and Tom were in Oxshott, Surrey to install these shutters for a client called Georgie. The shutters were to be installed in this wonderful barn conversion, in the living room and kitchen areas. The client wanted to have shutter panels as wide as possible and this made using our Fiji hardwood range the ultimate solution, as they are lightweight allowing the panels to be made far wider than entry level materials.
The shutters were to help create a more modern feel with the interior, against the older feel of the barn conversion which really has created a great finishing touch to the already amazing interior of the property. We used thick 89mm louvres with the wide panels and a hidden tilt rod system for that modern look.
Although there are no traditional tilt rods on the panels, they can be quickly and easily adjusted by hand whenever required. All shutters are in a full height style with mid rails in the centres, not only helping to strengthen the shutters but gives more flexibility of adjustment over the panels. Our customer was thoroughly impressed with the end result and we think they look fab in this barn conversion!
