A client in our local area of Bromley, Kent approached us looking for the ultimate solution for their patio doors. Designing shutters for doors is a very common request here at Shuttersup, with many people assuming that shutters are just for windows, our bespoke designs tailored around your doors really create an amazing look especially if they are to match new or existing window shutters in the property!
After discussing in details with the customer all the options, it was decided to use our Fiji hardwood range crafted using paulownia wood and an elegant silk white finish to contrast with the pure white walls, creating a subtle feature of the shutters.
These shutters open neatly to allow access to the doors leading to the patio, as you can see from the picture hinged against a framing to work perfectly with the size and layout of the doors behind. With a midrail running directly along the middle, they can also be adjusted to allow for the best level of light and privacy whenever needed.
63mm louvres, a popular choice amongst our clients and centralised tilt rods create a classic, yet highly practical look great for however the room is to be used in the years to come. Ben and John did an amazing job installing these shutters using beaded stiles, along with the other elements discussed as part of the build to create the classic look our client was looking for.
