Michael was in Essex to fit some plantation shutters a little bit different for our customer Subodh.
The client opted to have their shutters finished in one of our custom colours which we can match or take from the major paint suppliers. In this instance the colour Dulux Trade Red (16YR 16/594) was decided upon and it was to be used on all shutters in the install!
The shutters were custom designed to fit the customers kitchen area and patio doors. We used full height with plain stiles for the kitchen and then full height with mid rail and plain stiles for the patio doors. The added mid rail for the door shutters creates a more robust solution with the added advantage of being able to adjust the tops and bottoms independently. The mid rail was placed 2 thirds of the way down the shutters.
All shutters in this install were created with our Fiji hardwood range, made from Paulownia wood which is light weight but very high quality. It was also the range that would allow us to finish in the clients custom colour.
