We were in Whitstable, Kent to fit some bespoke shutters for this client’s home. Luke was on hand to carry out a flawless installation of shutters in multiple rooms and to windows of different sizes, including an area where shutters were installed to a patio door and windows! The client was keen to have the shutters match perfectly with the lines of the windows, which of course is no problem for us as we hand design all shutters to match the exact areas they are being fitted.
We created these shutters from our Fiji range, which is great for larger windows and expanses such as these but can also be used on smaller windows to match which can be seen in one of the rooms. Fiji is made from Paulownia wood, harvested from one of the fasted growing types of trees in the world and can be harvested every 10 years!
The client opted for our largest 89mm louvres as after talking with us they wanted the best lighting into the room whilst also maximising the privacy levels they can have whenever required. 89mm louvres are perfect for this job!
Crisp pure white paint and matching hinges was used to finish these full height shutters and beaded stiles for a vintage look, but to also slightly modernise them we used hidden tilt rods to unclutter the look throughout.
